Chapter 32. Colton Captured

COLTON’S POV

Ryder came back after leaving Reece back at the castle. Part of me knew he was going to come back for me so I left clues that would make it easier for him to find me. I waited for him in a cave nearby so he would find me faster.

I may be angry at him and I may be stubborn but I know it would be stupid to continue this mission all by myself. I have no idea how many vampires there are and since they have humans now, we don’t know how strong they are. Plus they have their vampire lord with them. Going on this mission by myself will probably be a death trap.

If only Reece didn’t slow us down, we probably would have made progress by now. Reece and Morgana have been major nuisances since this mission started and it’s so annoying.

“Did Reece die on the way to the castle?” I ask Ryder with a smirk trying to tease him.

“You’re not funny brother.” Ryder says to me with a scowl.

“Have you made any progress?” Ryder questions.

“None. They’ve
