I saw my busy husband, and I couldn't help but shake my head. He had his phone on his ear and was struggling to tie his tie. I went up to him and stood on tiptoes to reach him. Taking the tie from his hand, I started to tie it. He smiled and continued his phone call, silently saying "thank you." I smiled back and finished tying his tie. By the time I finished, he had finished his call.
"What would I have done without you?" he said, hugging me.
"I know, I'm pretty great," I said, making him laugh.
I let go gently and picked up his wet towel from the bed. He started putting on his shoes and said, "I'm so glad you're not like those wives who leave their husbands and go to their parents' house."
