Sinclair Mansion: Living Room

I walked into the living room of the Sinclair Mansion after finishing my work. Mom had invited us over, and I had told Seraphina to go with the driver because I had several important meetings scheduled for the day. I hoped Seraphina wasn't mad at me for not calling her during lunch, like I usually did. But today's meetings kept me busy, and I assumed she would be spending time with her mom.

"Finally, you're here," Mom said with excitement as soon as she saw me. I hugged her and gave her a kiss on the cheek, our usual greeting. Then, I greeted Dad and asked for his blessings. I looked at Seraphina and silently showed my love with a look, knowing she would understand. But she avoided my gaze and focused on Mom instead.

"Mom, I can help with dinner," I offered. She seemed upset. "I can't let you cook after being away for so long. Let's spend quality time together as a family.
