Chapter 55. Confusion II
I saw Cassian in the lobby, completely engrossed in his phone. He looked really handsome in his casual outfit—a white shirt and dark jeans, along with cool sunglasses. It was a weird coincidence that we were color-coordinated. I smiled to myself at the thought, and that's when Cassian glanced up. I hoped he didn't notice me staring, but he looked at me intently for a moment before checking his watch. Luckily, he didn't catch me admiring him, so I didn't feel embarrassed.
I walked over to him, and he broke the silence by saying, "Let's go." I nodded and followed him outside, feeling excited. Everything was going well, and I really hoped nothing would ruin it. But then, Cassian said something that dampened my mood. "Oh, by the way, I'm not really interested, but I'm doing this because Mom wants pictures." Just like that, things took a turn for the worse. I looked away, nodding in response.
