Shreya kindly gave me a ride to the cafe after our classes ended. Today was my first day at my new job and it reminded me of my first job three years ago when I was in college. This time, I wanted to repay my husband for his kindness.
When I walked in, I was greeted by Pops, who had a friendly smile. The cafe, though small, felt cozy and welcoming. "Hey, Pops," I said. He responded happily, saying, "Ah, Seraphina! I'm happy to have you here." I felt even happier than he seemed. "So, what's the first thing I need to do?" I asked.
"Well, the tasks here are pretty simple. You'll take orders from customers, tell the barista in the kitchen what they want, and then serve the prepared items and collect payment," Pops explained. I was pleasantly surprised at how doable it all sounded. "Sounds pretty straightforward. I hope it's as easy as it sounds."
