Hawa’s POV
We stared at each other for a while, and the atmosphere started to get awkward. I broke eye contact first.
“Yes, I’m sorry.”
“Well, I’m not.”
I raised my head in surprise and looked at him.
“I loved every second we shared, Hawa. To deny it would be pure hypocrisy on my part. I took away your innocence; it didn’t leave me indifferent. It’s a fact, that’s life. Even if I know it was a mistake, it’s still a beautiful mistake.”
“Why are you telling me this? I don’t need to know, you know.”
“I know, you’re an honest person, so I just wanted to be honest too.”
“Oh, I see. Is there anything I can do to help you find a reason for the separation?”
“Do you have any ideas on what we can tell them?”
“Yes, for example, that I’m the one who wants it because I’ve found someone else.”
