Chapter 67. The Winner and the Fallen
Teyana’s POV
“Zayne won.” I heard one of them say. But it didn’t matter at the moment. Jeremy was unconscious. He did this because of me.
No one moved. They all just stood there like a pack of wolves in black coats, faces blank, as if what was happening wasn’t human.
I lifted Jeremy slightly above the ground with every power I could summon, my hands cradling his head. “Jer?” My voice shook.
My eyes flicked from him to the lords present there. Zayne wasn’t in sight. Anger coursed through my body.
“Why the hell are you all just standing there?! Help him!”
That finally stirred something. Two Lords exchanged looks before stepping forward. They lifted Jeremy carefully, his head lolling to one side.
My throat tightened as I tried to follow, but a hand caught my shoulder.
“What are you doing here, Teyana?”
