Chapter 75. Pregnancy

“Are you good? What was this all about?” Alexander asked as he entered the hospital room. I was still lying on the bed, thinking about my life.

“Nothing, I just wasn’t feeling well.” I felt a pang of guilt as I lied to him. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him the truth about my pregnancy.

Alexander moved closer to me and placed his hands on my body. “Your temperature isn’t high. Are you ready to leave? Are the doctors done?” He asked.

I nodded. “Yeah. I’m ready to leave.”

The doctor gave me his card, so I could call him whenever I was ready to move forward with the next step. With Alexander’s help, I got out of bed and he led me out of the hospital.

“I took your mother home because it was getting late.” He said as he opened the front door for me to enter.
