Chapter 39. Sofia's Plan

Sofia stares at the row of numbers. She pressed one of the numbers, which was none other than Dr. Dean, who was the Foster family's Doctor. She waited until the Doctor picked up the phone from the other side. The voice could have been more precise, but she opened the conversation first.

"Hello, I'd like to offer you my cooperation," Sofia said without any preamble because she didn't want to waste too much time.

"Cooperation?" asked Dr. Dean, inevitably interested.

Sofia sat down in her chair. She thought briefly about how to frame a sentence to explain all this so that Dr. Dean could understand it as quickly as possible.

"Yes, this is a direct order from Mrs. Daphne. I wanted to use her situation to trick Mr. Gery." Sofia spoke in a low voice, but it was still loud in the room.

Dr. Dean frowned and felt clueless. He took off his suit, letting the air warm his body while keeping the cell phone pressed to his right ear.
