I glanced at the door through which Liam left abruptly, unable to understand what had just happened. Everything seemed to have gone awry suddenly, and the atmosphere was charged with tension. I briefly reviewed the events of that afternoon, trying to understand what the issue was with him.

I concluded that everything involving Liam is intense and inconsistent because he is an intense and inconsistent person.
