Chapter 52. Plans for the Day

Breakfast unfolded in a charged atmosphere. Even after almost an hour, I couldn't help but feel strong irritation witnessing the interaction between Liam and Leila. I didn't understand why Liam insisted on showing displeasure in the presence of the one who, the night before, shared kisses with him on the beach. It was disconcerting, to say the least.

As soon as we finished the morning meal, I got up hastily, determined to return to the room. I had no intention of exploring the island alongside Liam, especially after the disturbing scene during breakfast.

However, Liam followed closely, and for the sake of appearances, I had to tolerate his presence beside me. We walked in silence until we were far enough away from the others, where privacy provided a more conducive ground for any kind of dialogue between us.
