Worry

“We were in the same college. In our final year, we were assigned a project in which we were partners. The project took nearly a month to complete and during that time we visited many places for the research work. I don’t know when I fell for him. Before he went to Delhi, I confessed my feelings which he rejected as there is a huge difference between our statuses. During your marriage, we became a thing and he proposed to me which I readily accepted.” Diya paused and was fidgeting with her fingers, her head bent down.

“He made a mistake by proposing to you. He shouldn’t have done it.”

“Why bhabi? You married my brother, why can’t I marry your brother? Do you think I’m not good enough to be your sister-in-law?” Diya’s face was gloomy, her eyes were brimming with tears.

“That is not the case. You are such a sweet girl; anyone would be lucky to have you as his wife.”
