Chapter 52. Intimidate

Becca's POV

Alex stands behind me, looking visibly angry.

His eyes blaze with intensity, and his sharp fangs are bared threateningly. It's clear he's battling his wolf for dominance. I'm unsure how much of our conversation he overheard, if he was eavesdropping the entire time, Zane could be at risk. Out of respect, my parents rise to their feet while I remain seated defiantly. I refuse to let this man intimidate me. For Zane's sake, I'll stand up to him in this confrontation.

He’s clearly annoyed by my attitude, but I refuse to back down.

Without an invitation, he enters the house and strides directly toward me. He halts just as his nose nearly brushes against mine, glaring at me menacingly.

"Have you remained in contact with that human? Don't push me into taking extreme measures to stop this. I have no patience for trouble," he snarled. "Where were you last night? I sensed something was off with you."
