Chapter 55. Backfired!

Becca's POV

My plan backfired.

I expected Alex to be furious, cause a scene, immediately reject me, and leave me behind in my pack, however, I was disappointed.

On the other hand, he came right into the game. What I failed to realize was that jealousy is only caused by love. However, Alex doesn't actually love me, he merely views me as someone who fulfills duties as mate and Luna.

Oh gosh, I'm even further behind than before.

In fact, it seemed that Alex was quite pleased to share me with Elyon and appeared to enjoy the situation. Nervously glancing toward my parents, I noticed they hadn't picked up on our absence either. They probably assumed we were talking about pack business and chose not to interrupt us.

"Alex, are you really leaving today? Why not extend your stay by a day? Traveling such a long distance in just a few hours sounds exhausting. My mate and I would love for you to stay longer." Alex considers the offer.
