Chapter 43
Rollins's POV
I watched the vampire. I couldn't deny the strong dislike I had for these creatures. It was true that I blamed them for Cara's rejection, and I had every damn right to. Me letting him stay didn't change anything; I did it for Cara's friend. His dark eyes caught my attention again. Could my theory about the stronger and weaker vampires be wrong? After all, he was only a new born, why was his eyes so dark?.
"In this pack we have rules, and don't you think for once that me letting you stay means you are safe here? It's quite the opposite; I only did that for her, not you."
"Thank you for letting me stay," he said to me. There was something different about him I couldn't pinpoint.
"Again, it changes nothing; there is no mutual relationship between your kind and mine, and if you ever interfere, I'll let you find out what happens next if you fall out of line."
He nodded, trying to hide the scowl on his face. It was natural
