Chapter 44
Cara's POV
Rollins's wolf turned to me and ran straight at me. I was too afraid to move. His paws came at me, and the force of his hit pushed me hard against the wall. I felt the hot liquid trailing down my eyes; I didn't want to know what it was. I stood to my feet unsteady, my eyes fixed on Rollins, and I approached him again, slowly this time.
"Nexa," I called again, and he growled loudly, but he didn't attack this time. "I want to speak with Rollins," I requested. "Please," I added.
I didn't know who I was talking to now, I couldn't tell if Nexa had finally let Rollins through.
"Remember, you promised me you would never hurt me; it's me, your mate Cara.
I'm so sorry; it was my fault. I should have believed what you said to me. I should have listened, but I didn't I am sorry, but I can't be away from you. Come to me." The last part was a whisper, and finally the wolf walked to me slowly and went low. I passed my hands through h
