Chapter 117. It’s More Than That

Layla’s POV

The morning was like every other morning. I went through my routine getting ready for work, but my mind was locked solely on the new project Caleb had asked me to bring to life.

She had referred to it as my “latest masterpiece” and I took that very seriously. Caleb had faith in me and I didn’t want to disappoint her.

She had already organized a few team members to assist me so when I arrived in the office I laid out the designs.

I took my time explaining the method and setting up the office for the work, I revealed each step and provided directions as I worked. Everyone was calm and took notes. I could see the team respecting the energy I brought to the room.

The hours flew by. I was so focused on correcting errors and discussing recommendations that I didn’t even notice how fast the time was going.
