Chapter 119. Give Me a Straight Answer

Ezra’s POV

The second Layla slammed the door and left, I felt a surge of anger rise in me. I wasn’t only angry at Chloe, I was furious at Layla, too. How could she choose to believe Chloe over me? After everything we had been through, after all the fights we took together, she still could not believe in me.

I couldn’t believe it. Layla left my house and chose to go to Chloe. Who she barely knew. Who had done nothing but cause us trouble. Yet, she was going to trust a stranger’s words, instead of mine? I felt like nothing, in that moment. That made my chest ache.

I sat down on the couch, my chest tight. She thinks Chloe will provide her with answers. Answers I cannot give. My hands balled into fists. If Layla wanted proof, then I would provide proof. I would prove to her that Chloe wasn’t someone you could trust.

Without wasting any time, I pulled out my phone and search the mental facility Chloe was sent to, I saw the call line and dialed the number.
