Chapter 16
I drove back home. I shouted Yulan's name until she came out to meet me.
She had this disgusting and unapproving look on her face.
"What is Chris?" She asked.
I got close and grabbed her neck. I angrily banged her against the wall, and this time she refused to let go.
She struggled to breathe.
I had no idea. Sophia came after me; she saw me squeezing Yulan's neck and intervened.
She pulls me away, and Yulan melts on the floor, gasping for air.
"What is wrong with you?" She screamed in my face.
I pointed a finger at Yulan and blamed her for what happened to Mom.
Yulan finally gets herself, and she begins to laugh.
Sophia and I turned together, meeting her in amazement.
She walks to us and says, "I didn't do anything to Mom; she just had a seizure."
"Seizure, it doesn't just happen?" I replied wanting to strangle her again, if not for Sophia's intervention.
Yulan swore she had no hand in what happened to Mom
