Chapter 24
Fredrick swore to jump off the cliff if I didn't call off the police. I turned back, and out of compulsion, I begged Inspector Jude to call back his officers.
He didn't want to, but he had no choice.
He called off his officers, and I turned back, hoping to get to my brother before he did something bad.
"Fredrick, I've done what you said; please let go of Sophia." I rode near.
He saw the panic in my countenance and laughed.
"Calm down, brother; Sophia isn't going to die." He takes the gun away from her head.
That got me a little settled, so I asked Sophia to come to me.
However, when she strived to, a gunshot was fired.
I closed my eyes in shock; everything seized before me.
Then suddenly, I heard Sophia's voice screaming for help.
Immediately, I opened my eyes, meeting a startling scene.
My brother has been shot.
Inspector Jude ran ahead and grabbed his head; he asked for the ambulance, and Sophia came and asked
