Chapter 18

After the engagement, I walked into my room. Sophia made her way in and ambushed me.

She shoved me, and I fell on the bed.

There was this anger in her eyes, and I'm guessing it was because of the engagement.

"Whoa, what's going on?" I sat up.

"How dare you allow me to get engaged to Frederick?" She screamed.

I rolled my eyes and asked her to shut the door. She wasn't willing to listen until she got the idea that there was something I wanted to tell her.

She goes off and locks the doors too.

She turned around and found me standing so close.

"What are you doing? I'm angry at you." She pushed me away.

I grinned and somehow managed to get a hold of her hand. I pulled her close, locking both hands behind her back.

Sophia resisted until I was forced to lean in and kiss her.

Immediately, it seems her anger subsided.

She wrapped her hands around my neck and refused to let go.
