John chuckled. "Well, you were tired. I think you must have dozed off while we watched TV. Don't worry though. You'll have plenty of time to rest today."

"Right?" she smiled. "Dinner tonight sounds pretty fancy."

"It is," he agreed. "We're eating at the restaurant in the hotel. We have reservations for six o'clock."

"Oh, well… That's good," she replied. "I didn't realize it was that far away."

"Are you excited?" he asked.

"Yes," she admitted. "I haven't been to a nice place like that in ages. And to be honest, I'm kind of nervous. This is the first time I will have gone anywhere without my parents since I started college. So, yes, I'm a bit anxious and excited all at once. I hope everyone else thinks so too."

"Don't worry," John said. "They won't let you down. I promise."
