They were confused. They didn't know why this man was in this room, or why he was wearing that robe. The only thing they knew was that he was dangerous. They could feel it.

They wanted to run away, but they didn't know where to go. They had no idea where they were, and they couldn't see anything. They had no idea where they would end up if they tried to leave.

Maya and her mother were standing next to each other when the man stepped forward. He was tall, but he wasn't very muscular. His face was covered in white scars. His eyes were bright green.

He took a step toward them, and the women stepped back. He stepped closer again, and they stepped back again.

"Please stop," Maya said, holding out her hands to stop him. "Who are you?" she asked again.

The man ignored her. He just stared at her, looking at her with those green eyes. She felt like he could see right through her. He didn't say anything for a moment. H
