Chapter 56. The Mastermind

Axel stared at Reina as she sat before him looking dejected. He contemplated on his what next to do and only one thing flooded hie mind.

Pulling her in for reassuring hug.

Without thinking, he reached out to pull Reina in for a comforting hug, at least to reassure her that he was here for her and Lana's organization ordeal wouldn't stand.

At first, Reina froze, but soon her tensed muscles relaxed as she melted into his arms.

The tears that had dried up earlier came flooding her face again, standing both hers and Axel's shirt.

"It's alright, Darling." Axel whispered into her hair, but Reina was far from listening as she cried bitterly.

Their whole life had been from one problem to another all because of one man, their damn father and his stupid experiments.

Things wouldn't have turned out this way and even Lana added to the problems they were facing.
