Chapter 109. Memorable

I became even more confused by what he said. "Huh?" I asked.

"Ina," he turned to face me and then to Mrs. Hazel. "She's your mother. The mother you've been looking for."

I felt the slow fading of the smiles on my lips, especially when I saw Mrs. Hazel's eyes welling up with tears. No, Roy must be joking right now. It's impossible. I laugh at what he said. I expected to hear them laughing too but unluckily they went even more silent.

"You told me before that you wanted to see any of your parents, and I found her. Ina, I found your mother and here she is. After almost six years of looking for her, now here she is, in front of us... in front of you," Roy said excitedly, but I couldn't share in his joy just yet. I can sense the excitement in his voice and here I am struggling to say a word. 

"Roy," I said, turning to him.
