I tried not to show my amazement at the place, but I couldn't help it.

A smile crept onto my lips with every step I took, as the lights illuminated my path. How is that even possible?

Because of my joy, I didn't even notice that Roy was already in front of me. He had a big smile on his face as he looked at me.

"Why are you grinning like that?" I asked, irritated.

He reverted to ignoring me, just like he did earlier. He hadn't included me in this either. I swatted him. "I was looking for you earlier, and here you were all along. You left me outside!" I said, annoyed.

He laughed as he caught my swats. "That's part of the plan!" he said, chuckling.

"What would you do if I punched you, and that was also part of my plan to celebrate my birthday?" I asked teasingly.

I gave him a dirty look as he pinched my cheeks. "I'm sorry," he said.

I just rolled my eyes and was about to turn to join Carl when he pulled me back. "I'll cut off that hand of yours,
