Chapter 120. Sick

I woke up with a heavy head. I could hear the rain pouring outside, which made me even more reluctant to get out of bed.

Days of continuous rain had passed, and I had been tirelessly working on the case we were going to file. Thankfully, Carl accompanied me on our recent visit to Atty. Padilla.

We had a conversation, and currently, we are searching for stronger evidence. I've also been actively participating in the investigations led by the police because I want to know everything. I want to ensure that we win this case and that our months of waiting don't go to waste.

Auntie Anne was exceptionally skilled at hiding, as she still hasn't been found.

I looked at my son, peacefully asleep next to me. I was running out of time for him, but I had also promised myself that I would make it up to him once all of this was over.

Reluctantly, I got out of bed. I didn't want him to catch my fever.
