Chapter 28. Cafe

"Roy, could you accompany Ina to Reina's Café?" Auntie Anne asked.

"What are you going to do there?" I heard Roy ask before I left my room.

I had just finished changing because Auntie Anne needed me to pick up a folder from her friend Reina's café. She mentioned feeling a bit dizzy and asked me to go in her stead.

As I exited my room, our eyes met briefly, and Roy looked me up and down before quickly shifting his attention to his wife. Roy had given me a thorough once-over, starting from my head down to my feet, before swiftly looking away and focusing on his wife.

I was dressed in skinny jeans and a spaghetti-strap top that Auntie Anne had given me. I topped it with a thin long-sleeved blouse to appear more presentable when I met her friend. I glanced at Auntie Anne when she excused herself to answer her phone call. She turned slightly but didn't go far.

"Is that so? I can go there now," Auntie Anne said.
