Chapter 166
Valeria's POV
Better said than done. “How long have you been sitting there?” A deep, rough voice pulls me out of my thoughts. It hurts, my head cramps up and it feels like my brain mass is breaking down bit by bit. I squint my eyes and touch my forehead.
"Shh." I just repeat in frustration. I put my finger to my lips to clarify my point. I expanded my statement with "Not" and moved my head slightly. But it was clear that he ignored it.
"You shouldn't have drunk so much yesterday."
I can already imagine the way he looks at me now. "Oh." He'll enjoy it, I can already see his nasty grin in my mind's eye. "Really?"
Now it's too late anyway. The peace is over. I open my eyes, careful not to look at him, even though I don't even know where he is. I look towards the ceiling, hoping to see him out of the corner of my eye, but nothing. I close my eyes again and move my head down so I can look straight ahead.
