Valeria's POV

Since I've been here, this feeling hasn't left me. I'm either stared at or ignored. Nobody here treats me normally. Almost no one. I look away from my reflection and walk out of the bathroom. I need a hair color, preferably today. How am I supposed to do that, I asked myself.

Alec's POV

After spending the rest of the day in the pack house, I received some bad news. I knew it would happen at some point, but I was hoping to delay it a bit. A statewide search was announced. In the middle of the posters and advertisements is the picture of my companion. I didn't think her parents would go that far. After reading the advertisements carefully, I realized that she was being searched for under a synonym.

They are not looking for a Valeria Dragomir but for an Emma Williams. She is not wanted as a daughter of the family, but as an escaped prisoner, which is extremely dangerous. I wonder what her parents thought.
