Alec's POV

"Then I had a dream that night, but it wasn't a dream at all. There were memories of the day and now I remember why we argued." She paused for a moment, turned to me, and started speaking again. "You kissed me."

I saw water slowly gathering in her eyes, so I stood up and hugged her. She didn't return my hug, but she didn't resist either, which was a start. Luckily she remembered the kiss because I didn't know how to break it to her. Of course, she left out the fact that she returned the kiss, but I won't say anything about that for now.

"Do you know what happened after that?" I asked carefully because it was time for this conversation.

"We argued and I ran in front of a car." She uttered shortly, which made me laugh slightly.

She looked up at me. "What's so funny about that?"
