Chapter 189

Alec's POV

Today was the day. The day I would tell her my biggest secret. Well, not a secret in our world but in theirs. Even though her parents were part of it, they didn't let Val in on it, for whatever reason. I think that the earlier you deal with such an issue, the better you will be able to deal with it and ultimately live with it. But unfortunately for me, I'm now in the position of having to tell her about a whole new world. A world away from normality.

I couldn't sleep all night. I kept thinking about how she would react. I've imagined the worst possible scenarios and yet I can't get around it. I promised her and an Alpha doesn't break his promise. At around three o'clock I decided that I wouldn't get any more sleep today. So I got up early and threw myself into a few pack matters that had been sitting on my desk for a few days.

Around eight I noticed some footsteps. So she's awake. I finished my work and unlocked the door to the office. S
