Chapter 28
Zea's POV
It was obvious how even the boys looked at Cole in disbelief, as he looked like an angel with his fit physique and tanned skin.
Cole never had a hard time striking up conversations with other people. Social contact had never been an obstacle for him, rather something new and exciting, he always said.
As I silently watched my best friend and my college acquaintances, images from decades ago flashed back to my mind.
“Come on, little one! "It's not that hard, otherwise you wouldn't be so shy," said Cole, nudging me from the side with his elbow.
I groaned in exasperation, but couldn't take my eyes off the black-haired man who, with a crystal glass in his hand, was flirting exuberantly with a crowd of ladies who had excitedly thrown themselves at him.
I silently looked at my glass, the contents of which blurred the pale color of my face and the bright red lipstick.
