But other than balling my hands into fists and fighting with my wolf for dominance, I did nothing. She dismissed this as resignation and nodded at me.

“Good wolf. Wise decision." She then turned her back on me, but these words drove my wolf crazy again.

At the same time, we growled at her and bared our teeth. But instead of holding her arms to the ground, we rested our paws on the forest floor so that we could see. She pulled the silver dagger out of her jacket and rammed it into our shoulder.
