Zoey's POV

"I can't do this, Logan help!" I screamed and looked over the edge down into the cloud-covered abyss, but Logan next to me just laughed gleefully and kissed me on the side of the cheek.

"You're so cute when you're scared," he smiled and I responded with a grumpy look.

You always wanted to hear that you're cute when life can end with one step.

"I want to get down here," I whined, rubbing my hands nervously. "Just gotta step forward," Logan laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"Or I'll do it."

Without realizing what was happening, I saw, as if in slow motion, Logan jumping over the edge of the helicopter and logically dragging me with him.

Why are you so stupid and jumping in tandem with Logan?!

The wind whipped my face and I reflexively closed my eyes. The blood was rushing in my head and the adrenaline was pumping through my veins. God, please let this end quickly!

Screaming, I opened my eyes and looked at th
