"What do you mean?" I stammered after a while of silence. He turned to me. Fear, desperation, and a silent pleading had appeared in his eyes. "I won't tell you until I'm one hundred percent sure "Promise me that you won't talk to anyone about it and that you'll always stay close to Logan, do you understand?" he snapped at me as if it was all my fault. I nodded slightly, but when I realized the meaning of his words, I hastily shook my head.

"I can't and won't lie to Logan," I said, which was true. He himself said that lying to his mate was virtually impossible without the other person noticing.

"You don't need to, just don't tell him anything."

"He'll hate me," I then concluded.

"He won't. And even if he does, there are some things you have to accept to ensure your own safety," he answered indifferently.
