Alec's POV

Jeremy simply replies, "You're not like your father and the moon goddess knows that."

"Yes, exactly," Lynn replies. "I have a really good feeling about this this year. This time it will work, it's your 50th season after all," she grinned at me.

"Yes, yes, whoever believes it will be blessed," I answer.

"Now get out, I want to be alone." Jeremy tries to say something back, but I just yell,

"Get out, I said!" And then they disappeared through the door.

I think about what it would be like to no longer have to be alone. When you have someone who sits with you, who you can talk to, who you trust. Don't get me wrong, I trust my beta, but having a soulmate is still different.
