"Since we're going to the beach, I got you some little gifts," Juan announced as he rummaged around in his room looking for these "gifts."
Little Love responded caustically, "We don't have beach clothes, genius," putting more emphasis on the fact that they did not have beach clothes than they did on the fact that they did not have gifts.
"You hold that thought, princess," he added before he turned around to face us with his hands still clasped behind his back and a giddy smile on his face.
"Show me," Hadey insisted as he twisted and turned in an effort to catch sight of the gift before I grabbed hold of him and secured him to the couch with my arms.
"Well, seeing as how you three weren't aware that we were going to be here, you didn't bring any beach clothing with you. As a result, I went out of my way to obtain some for you. I just got what I thought you'd enjoy, but we can also purchase something else if you don't like them," Juan stated to
