"Since we're going to the beach, I got you some little gifts," Juan announced as he rummaged around in his room looking for these "gifts."

Little Love responded caustically, "We don't have beach clothes, genius," putting more emphasis on the fact that they did not have beach clothes than they did on the fact that they did not have gifts.
