As the sun rose, its limber fingers of light began to dance across the ceiling of the room, jolting me awake in the process. It seemed to last forever. Myrtle had trouble falling or staying asleep, so I ended up holding her the entire time in my arms. After giving her a bath, I dressed her in the warmest, most reassuring garments I could locate, which turned out to be Hade's blouse, which she also wore while swimming. After that, we ate the food that Juan had prepared for us, and after that, we went to bed.
