Chapter 49
Both Amber and I bolted out of the house as soon as we saw Locker, Augustus, and Sally drive their trucks into their respective driveways. After spending some time away from Myrtle and Hade, who were both writhing in heat, we stood there eagerly waiting for them to get out, having long since lost all sense of reason and social politeness.
Locker jumped out of his van with lightning speed, his hand crammed full of paper maps and other documents. "I've got an idea about where Luna is," he added, cutting to the chase and not beating around the bush: I need my Gamma in an emergency. "I've got an idea about where Luna is," he said.
I said something and signaled to him with a nod to carry on. He unfolded what turned out to be a map from one of the pages he was holding and laid it out on the bonnet of his truck. It was an old map that was difficult to read, but for the time being, it will have to be done because it was a map showing where we are right now.
