Amber’s POV

I leaned in close to her ear and murmured, "Hey, princess," as she gazed up at me with hazy eyes and a smile on her face. Her dark brown hair, which shone in the moonlight that entered the room through the window, was now strewn across her torso, and some stray strands of hair were glued to the sweat that was on her forehead.
