Chapter 65

Holland’s POV

It's possible that I've never started a morning with as much zeal as I did today, but I highly doubt it. My inability to think clearly and rationally keeps me apart from my peers. I quickly open my eyes and then grumble to myself because the sun is too strong for my sensitive eyes.

We sure did sleep in today, didn't we, huh? Last night was quite interesting for humans. I am able to determine that the pain in my buttocks was most likely brought on by Juan.

Once again, silly ideas are keeping me from concentrating on my companions.

When I turn over, I see Myrtle deep asleep in Amber's arms, and I almost second-guess my decision to wake them up because she looks so contented there. However, it was necessary because I needed Daisy right away.

As I struggle to free myself from Juan's embrace, I pinch Myrtle in the face and then lean in close to her ear to breathe some air into it. That drew her attention, and when it did, Mate's gorgeous eyes opened w
