“Put an end to it! Amber, you need to cut his throat! Do you want to sample his blood?" Merci snarled in my thoughts, adding fuel to the fire that was already burning within me. How could he treat me in such a manner? Why the hell should I even be surprised?
I had anticipated that I would avoid seeing him again out of fear, but in reality, I couldn't wait to do so so that I could cut his throat and witness his death. Even if it won't be enough payback for everything he put me through, I had to witness his death anyway. Merci roared viciously once more within my skull, causing me a headache in the process. Thankfully, her friends started to comfort her through their links, which provided me with some much-needed respite.
