Chapter 21

She walked the short distance from her house to the corner and saw Ryeon hurrying to get there. He walked absentmindedly, fastening his belt around his pants, but when he finished and looked up to see her already there, he smiled.

"Good morning, beautiful," he said as he stopped and affectionately hugged her, planting a kiss on her cheek.

"Ryeon, don't do that here," she complained, pulling away but smiling as she looked at him. "Good morning..."

"Are you going with me to the study group today?" he asked, walking alongside her towards the bus stop.

"Of course, I am," she replied excitedly. "I prepared a new notebook and some different-colored pens to organize the topics our teacher will cover."

"Woah, I didn't bring anything new like that," he said, laughing as he scratched the back of his neck. "Just one pen and the last few pages of my notebook are all I have."
