It felt like a dream to experience freedom for a whole day.

Lucy was so ecstatic that she couldn't stop for a second to let Jaesun apply her makeup correctly on her face.

Finally, it was the day of the Halloween dance at their school. It wasn't a widely celebrated date in the streets with parties or similar things, but schools always organized festive dances during that time, which brought a lot of joy to the girl.

Lucy had never been able to dress up in a costume that she truly wanted to wear. There were few options available, and most of them were male costumes. So she either chose any random one or simply didn't choose any, avoiding wasting her time and opting to stay under her comforter while everyone else had fun.

But that year, in her last year of high school, she felt a strange sense of small freedom, and she dared, for the first time, to choose a costume that she actually enjoyed wearing.
