Chapter 7
Lucy had heard from her mother that men were always strong.
They were the stronger sex, and that was because they needed to protect themselves and their family.
Men were always bigger and braver, and she saw Woojin in that way.
She hoped that Woojin would always be strong because she had given her life to her only child. In fact, she hoped for much more. She hoped to be a grandmother, to see Woojin with a wife and filling their home with grandchildren, as he surely wouldn't go far.
But she knew nothing about Woojin.
She didn't know that, in reality, Woojin was her daughter. The daughter she once heard her dreaming of having, but fortunately, she hadn't had her yet, as she felt protected by the men in the house.
She didn't even dream about Lucy or the girl's desire to be free because she considered such things abominable or immoral and didn't allow any space for the girl to open up.
But Lucy understood herself, and even though she was trapped
