Chapter 6

Lucy didn't know what she was actually doing.

Sitting on the edge of her bed, she still looked at the box that Ryeon had seen three days ago.

She hadn't faced the boy yet because she didn't know how he would react, so she had made up excuses of having headaches for all those days and avoided going to school.

Her father still knocked on her door every morning and sat on her bed, begging her to tell him what was going on because he felt that something was wrong. But she was still afraid and didn't know how to share something about herself with him. And to make things worse, her daily hormone pills had run out.

She talked to Jaesun on the phone, her hoarse and weak voice lamenting.

Her supplier was out of stock.

"This seems like God sending you a message, you know? I've told you, stop taking those things without a prescription!"

"Aigoo. What am I supposed to do, Jae? I need to take them if I want to be my
