Chapter 29. A Glimpse of the Past
Victoria’s POV
I closed my eyes, feeling the intense pressure as a boatload of images began to appear in my mind.
There were images of women running around, an image of strange faces holding a council meeting, an old woman holding a newborn child, a dark, stormy night filled with thunderstorms, a woman screaming in rage as a blinding white light erupted from her, a woman being staked with a wooden dagger, and a man crying while looking up at the sky. There were so many images that I couldn’t even focus on a single one. There were hundreds, no, thousands of images.
Finally, the images stopped cycling before I was pushed inside a hospital room, where I almost fell on top of a doctor who was running around. I looked around the room as my eyes fell on a beautiful woman who looked to be in her early twenties. She looked strangely familiar. I knew that
