Alexander’s POV

No wonder I had been feeling like someone was watching over me or following me from the exact moment I entered the club. It turns out it was this witch’s doing.

Noticing her creepy gaze fixed on my mate, I linked her directly, demanding to know what she was doing here, showing up and meeting the Alpha King unannounced through a mind link, to which she merely replied with a calm smile.

“Oh, I am only here because I came to learn that a very powerful individual—one who shouldn’t have been born in the first place—was present tonight. I merely came to pay my respects and ensure that this person isn’t experiencing any unwanted trouble.”

Did I mention she didn’t even look at me while giving her reply? Was she disrespecting the future Alpha King simply because I haven’t officially ascended the throne yet?
