Chapter 33. Troubled Dinner (1)
Jethro has his eyes on the watch and his surroundings. It has been an hour and a half since he texted Benedict, but the guy seems to have no intention of showing up. Not even a trace of him was seen. Jethro was well aware that what he did was unethical—something that he shouldn’t do, but he didn’t want Hadley to be tempted by the mistakes coming her way. He wanted to stop her, but he couldn’t do it himself. He has no rights, after all. So, instead of him, he wanted Benedict to do it, instead.
Jethro didn’t actually plan to see and spy on Hadley like this. He didn’t want to end up inside his car, outside the restaurant where Hadley and Brandon were. But everything seemed to be planned by fate and forced by destiny. While having a study break, he accidentally saw a piece of paper stuck inside one of the medical books he borrowed from Hadley. It was a complete restaurant address, and it seemed to be a medical meeting. The time and date written also say it was today. Jethro finds
